CTY - Pearl Harbor survivor Ray Emory, 91, holds an empty 50-calibre shell as he poses for a portrait on Friday, November 30, 2012 at his home in east Oahu. Emory was on the light cruiser USS Honolulu in Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7, 1941. He fired on attacking Japanese planes with a 50-cal. machine gun. He's also spent decades trying to identify Pearl Harbor "unknowns" buried at Punchbowl. He will be recognized at this Dec. 7, 2012 ceremony. (The Honolulu Star-Advertiser/Jamm Aquino).
