Guns N Roses in Hawaii

This is one of my favorite photographs I've ever taken in my career for many reasons. The first is because I've always considered Slash one of my heroes in music, as I'm a guitar player. Secondly, the fact that I was able to get something rather abstract and artsy, all the while being an iconic, unmistakable image of him, made me a happy camper. Lastly, the rain coming down was really what made this photograph happen for me. All the right elements, at the right time, with the right subject.

Slash, of rock band Guns N' Roses, is silhouetted as rain comes down at Aloha Stadium during the Not in this Lifetime Tour on Saturday, December 8, 2018 in Honolulu, Hawaii. This was the first time ever that Guns N Roses has performed in Hawaii.
