****POY 2015, I came upon this shot just as the sun started peeking through the clouds after a somewhat dreary day covering a massive brushfire in the mountains above Wahiawa. Exposing for the highlights yielded a layered, textured image and the helo's position in the sky was just right framed in a patch of white cloud.****

A Blackhawk helicopter works to douse flames atop a ridgeline near the 2500 block of California Avenue on Tuesday, August 4, 2015 in Wahiawa.
